Born from an employee brainstorm and brought to life through a partnership with Southside Harm Reduction Services, this initiative began as a single harm reduction station mounted on the exterior of SixSpeed. Inside, the station offered 30 boxes each of NARCAN® naloxone nasal spray and fentanyl test strips—available free of charge, and free of judgment.
In the face of the opioid epidemic, The Overdose Prevention Project serves as a vital source of hope, driven by a community that understands the life-saving importance of naloxone and fentanyl test strip kits. To spread the word, we hosted a fundraiser that enabled us to restock harm reduction stations at additional partner locations across the city. The effort paid off. With coverage from local broadcast media and recognition from the Minnesota Advertising Federation’s The Show, the initiative has raised $11,000 to date—every penny going directly toward purchasing lifesaving supplies.
