I began collecting the words of my friends, family, teachers, and classmates when I was fifteen. Year after year, I filled a series of composition notebooks with their quotes until 2013, when the entire operation went digital—a leap into the Space Age. Booyah.
The Quotebook celebrates the trivial, the uncouth, and the crass. It also reveals things about myself that I've never actually said. From one calendar flip to the next, it chronicles what I find amusing, the company I keep, and my appreciation for ordinary life in extraordinary context. Decades from now, these are the memories I'll revisit when I'm old and grey — recalling the silver-tongued folks who've filled my life to the brim with laughter.
Stay tuned for BEST OF 2024, due to release on New Year's Day.
